WE CAN MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT AND REAL CHANGE TOGETHER
We want to create more sustainable events and help our attendees do the same.
Positive changes we introduced:
SUSTAINABILITY
What are some of the things the venue does?
- Donate Not Waste is an initiative that takes things businesses throw away and gives them to charities, schools and play centres that need them. Any suitable waste items such as stationery, fabric and display materials will be donated where possible.
- No waste to landfill – Waste that cannot be donated will be recycled or responsibly incinerated and turned into energy. Separate bins for different types of waste are provided throughout the venue.
- Cycle storage & electric charging points are available at the venue.
- Since 2019 100% renewable electricity has been used in the venue.
- Introduced various energy efficiency measures across the venue over a number of years including, motion sensors, automatic taps and flushes as well as low energy lighting.

What are some of the things the organisers do?
- Reuse materials and branding from previous events including lanyards, delegate bags and signage.
- Onsite printed materials are kept to a minimum. The programme and agenda are available to view online or large digital signage at the venue. No conference brochures or show guides will be provided.
- All marketing materials promoting the event are conducted electronically.
- Conference registration is entirely online, and booking confirmations are electronic.
- Conference delegate badges made of paper (FSC certified) and no plastic badge wallets are used.
- We are working with sponsors and exhibitors to minimise materials they use and/or dispose of whilst at the conference.
- Pens and paper will not be provided to delegates to encourage the use of scrap paper or digital alternatives.
What can you do as a visitor?
