Dr Andy Powell

Dr Powell trained at Barts and the London, and after spending a year in Chelmsford, moved south and completed a medical rotation at UHS and general practice training in Lymington. He has a particular interest in cardiology and respiratory medicine, especially in respiratory diagnostics, the assessment of airway inflammation and covid/long covid. He was PCN clinical director and ran a local vaccination service, a GP appraiser and currently holds a clinical lead (respiratory) role in the local CCG. Dr Powell has a special interest in respiratory medicine, especially the primary care management of asthma and COPD and has presented at local and national talks on this subject matter. In the past Dr Powell had senior leadership roles in St John Ambulance, a leading first aid charity, focusing on healthcare professional support, medicines management and occupational health
